Optional Life Insurance.
Optional Life Insurance is term insurance that is above and beyond the Life Insurance
already included in your Group Insurance Plan, and it’s available to the insured and their
spouse. Optional Life Insurance allows your employees to choose the amount of
coverage that fits their families needs.
Optional Life Insurance amounts must be between $10,000 and $250,000, and proof of
insurability is required for any amount of insurance. A conversion option is available to
the participant upon the termination of employment before age 65. The regular
termination age is 70, the same as for the standard life insurance coverage.
